Absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, especially for neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ folks like myself. I noticed they had fidgets available, and when a child was struggling with the sensory overload of the blow dryer, the stylist (I believe May) handled it so thoughtfully by offering to go slowly and turning the dryer off whenever the child started to feel overwhelmed. As someone who was terrified of loud noises as a kid, that moment genuinely made me happy to see. I used to dread going to the salon because of how loud everything was. My stylist, Ash, was also wonderful. I didn’t mention it at the time, but my great aunt had passed away the night before and I was pretty out of it. Instead of pushing awkward small talk, Ash seemed to read me right away and made the space feel comfortable and calm. The quiet was exactly what I needed. I’m also absolutely in love with my hair but I just felt like the atmosphere should be talked about cause not a lot of places go to that level to help make their customers feel comfortable. I definitely will be making this my go-to hair salon.

I just want to say that , I’ve just moved to Wisconsin, Madison and I’ve been having a lot of trouble finding a hairstylist that I felt good in my gut going to. I looked up many hair salons and Rebel Hair kept coming up as one of the best! I made an appointment with Meikayla and prayed! Lol I was in for a very pleasant surprise! She gave me a lovely hair color and I had a trim of bangs and back as well! I am happy to have found a new hair stylist. She had a big job with me as I had not had my hair done due to our move from Colorado! I saw Ash for a cut and color, and I absolutely love the results. She did an amazing job listening and asking all the right questions to truly understand what I was looking for- and she nailed it! The color and cut are completely on point! Beyond the results, this was one of the most relaxing hair appointments I have ever had. Ash has such a calming presence, and she is genuinely one of the most gentle hairstylists I have ever been to. I was able to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience, which made it feel more like self-care than an appointment. I would highly recommend Ash to anyone looking for beautiful results and a peaceful, stress-free experience. I am obsessed with my hair! Thank you, Ash!!

May was an amazing stylist! I am so thrilled with my new haircut. She was patient, kind, and attentive, giving me great feedback when I asked for help with the specific cut I wanted. She also taught me how to style my hair so that my cut would look the best. She's the sweetest person and super skilled! I can't wait to come back in for my next appointment!

I cannot talk enough about how incredible this salon is or how happy I am with the services I've had there, even when mistakes happened!!! I started seeing Jordyn in January 2025, when I decided I wanted to go from my natural dark brown to platinum blonde. I did a little home bleaching and needed her to finish it off. She did a STUNNING job. After my second "blonding" 8-ish weeks later, I was still just as happy but shortly after decided being a blonde wasn't for me. I messaged Jordyn and asked her for a smoky purple/pink balayage and we talked pricing and we're basically ready to go. When I went in on Tuesday, May 13th, I was so excited but when I left I was DEVASTATED. My hair looked nothing like what I wanted and I felt so weird since I didn't say anything while I was there (I'm not good with confrontation). I ended up messaging her and explaining how I felt and she totally owned the situation and got it corrected. I cannot be more thrilled with how it turned out and how it sets me up to do even more fun stuff with my hair down the line! 🩷 The other stylists all seem so wonderful and they're always ready to step in and help each other when needed. I would feel more than comfortable recommending Rebel Hair to everyone. They're also LGBTQ+ friendly!
